Labar

Labar is a performative music project from Donostia-San Sebastián that blends Basque-language songwriting with a strong political and activist edge. Before turning to music, Labar was already a militant and activist, and that foundation runs through every track: shame, social approval, non-normative bodies, and a critical gaze at heterosexuality as a political construction. The project is eclectic and hard to pin down, with EPs like Bitxiloreak Txerriei (2025), produced alongside Kiliki, where very different styles coexist under a common thread. Confirmed on the Boga Boga Festibala 2026 lineup, Labar is one of the most singular voices in the emerging Basque scene.
